Project 87 is a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit organization founded by Tariq Alexander.
Project 87 was created to advocate for justice reform and to support individuals impacted by unfair federal conspiracy sentencing laws enacted in 1986 and enforced in 1987. The organization is committed to civil rights activism, education empowerment, and successful reintegration for those returning to society.
“If we don’t, who will?”
Project 87 exists to be a voice for the voiceless.
As part of The System Within (TSW) network, Project 87 reflects a core philosophy of giving back by providing a hand-up — not a handout — through advocacy, opportunity, encouragement, and access to education and career pathways.
Project 87 supports and promotes legislative and legal reform for individuals harmed by unjust federal conspiracy sentencing laws.
Donations to Project 87 are used to support legal entities, advocacy groups, agencies, and organizations that provide legal advocacy, civil rights support, education, and reentry services for those impacted by excessive and unfair sentencing.
Project 87 is committed to supporting military veterans through housing assistance, job training, and employment opportunities.
In alignment with national efforts led by the Veterans Administration to end veteran homelessness, Project 87 works to connect veterans with resources and long-term pathways toward stability, independence, and reintegration into civilian life.
Your support helps Project 87 continue its mission to advocate for justice reform, civil rights, and fair sentencing, while providing education, reentry support, and opportunity to those impacted by unjust federal conspiracy laws.
Every contribution supports advocacy efforts, legal support partnerships, education empowerment initiatives, and housing and employment resources for returning citizens and veterans.
